If you haven't worked with stamps like this, get the practice workbook to get used to the style of using them correctly, so you don't get edges/corners of the stamps on the image. I typically work with stretched canvas, and they tend not to play well with it, and I hesitate to try acrylic with them.
Probably a thicker quality card stock with a wash on it would give you that "old timey map" effect a little better.
I love the buildings, I love the towers, I really love the sea monster and dragon. If you’re taking suggestions, I’d love to see more bodies of water in the next set! Smaller lakes, maybe some sections of river?
I've greatly enjoyed all the LoM stamps. I pre-ordered this set and like it very much! I've been making maps of my neighborhood just like I used to do as a kid, except now the maps are reasonably accurate and nice to look at. :)
I wouldn't mind seeing a few more nautical/sailing/pirate-y features - skull & crossbones, ocean waves, and such - but this stamp set + a few drawings is more than sufficient to flesh out the ocean environments!
